Ein Tag lang Urban-Culture vom Feinsten: Red Bull verbindet die Schweizer Musikszene via Livestream. Das Connect Festival war für einige Künstler*innen ertragreich.

Einen ganzen Tag lang rückte Red Bull die Kultur in den Fokus. Dabei kannten sie weder Röstigraben noch Genre-Differenzen: Rapper, Beatmaker und Tänzer beflügelten sich gegenseitig zu kreativen Höhenflügen und alles wurde via Livestream direkt in die Quarantäne transportiert. Die Highlights des Rap-Happenings gibt’s jetzt zum Nachschauen im Stream.

[1] Xen und Ivorrie kündigen Newschool-Westcoast-Single an

Red Bull hat zwei Künstler vernetzt, die sich bis dato noch nicht allzu oft über den Weg gelaufen sind. Im Livestream stimmt der Vibe aber sofort: Der OG Xen packt Realtalk über seine Musik aus und redet über seine Technik, Idole und Werte. Voller Begeisterung erklärt er Sandwich-Reime, warum Eminem immer noch das technische Nonplusultra ist und seine Anfänge, in denen Tracks noch über Bluethoot gespreadet worden sind. Doch als die 23-jährige Ivorrie die ersten Bars droppt, ist Xen Feuer und Flamme. «Du hast den Flow des Todes», kommentiert der Dietiker. Und die beiden fixen gleich Pläne für die Zukunft: «Fixen wir das gleich live vor allen. Wir machen fix einen Song zusammen. […] Machen wir die Single über Universal, holen wir etwas Kohle raus. Machen wir den Shit real.»

[2] Mercee und COBEE experimentieren zusammen

Am Festival werkeln auch COBEE und Mercee gemeinsam an musikalischem Output. Dabei geben sie einen Einblick, wie sie im Studio vorgehen. Der Nerd-Talk über Produktionssoftwares, Inspirationsschöpfung und Workflows kocht zwar nicht ganz so hoch wie bei Xen und Ivorrie, ist aber für Musik-Fans eine Stunde Unterhaltung pur.

[3] Didi präsentiert sein Album ein erstes Mal live

Die digitale Plattentaufe: Weil’s keine Live-Gigs für Didi gibt, bringt er «Morukmodus 3» zusammen mit Sam-B digital. Im Livestream performt er seine neuen Songs ein erstes Mal live. Front-Cam anstatt Front-Row heisst’s auf einmal für Didi-Fans.

[4] Mimiks mit Exclusive-Bars in der Booth

Mimiks packt am Red Bull Connect Festival seinen Produzenten des Vertrauens in den Livestream. Zusammen im Studio fackelt das Duo nicht lange rum und die beiden beginnen gleich mit der Recording-Session. Die exklusiven Bars von Mimiks gibt’s im Video ab 31:46.
